Hike-A-Thon is officially underway!  This morning WTA hosted a kick-off hike at Discovery Park.  It was a fun way to get in a few early morning Hike-A-Thon miles before most of the group headed off for work while I headed home because being a teacher does have some perks.

The trail was very mellow as it wound through the forest and along a small bluff above the water.  There were lots of joggers and dogs out and about enjoying the cool, sunny morning before it gets hot later today.  Hike-A-Thon coordinator Allie Tripp even had donuts waiting for us at the parking lot.  I wish all hikes ended that way.
